AHNA: Expanding Resource Chapter, founded in 2015, is a non-profit organization which serves as an educational bridge between conventional healthcare and complementary/alternative healing practices.  We are dedicated to the promotion of holistic, naturopathic, and integrative healthcare for nurses and medical professionals through expanded educational resources in this growing and health arena.

       

     The AHNA: Expanding Resource Chapter grew out of the need to expand the awareness of holistic, integrative healthcare through the development of an east Texas community holistic health network. We are dedicated to advocacy, research, and the educational expansion of holistic resources available in both the local community, and on a global level.  Our mission is to respectfully uphold this intent and provide a supportive community of nurses, holistic practitioners and medical professionals, through  advocacy, research, and education.  This chapter focuses on the care and nurturing of nurses, as a prioty. As education is provided and skills are developed and practiced,  health care professionals and holistic nurses may integrate complementary and alternative modalities (CAM) into clinical practice to treat the whole person and view healing as a partnership between a person seeking treatment and their practitioner.

   

     The goals of this chapter is to provide continuing education and special events of interest, by promoting the additional integrative concepts of holistic health and natural medicine. We function on local, national, and international levels to serve as a resource center to all members.
